Responsibilities: You will be primarily responsible for the following: - · Responsible for all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliation & month-end close. · Train, guide, & motivate a small team of staff accountants & accounting clerks. · Prepare sales tax returns, payroll tax returns & property tax returns as well as any other statutory compliance, informational, and other tax returns. Assisted in the preparation & analysis of financial statements, budget & other pertinent information. · Cross-train accounting staff in all day-to-day accounting activities, and establish polices & procedures for all recurring tasks. · Special projects & other duties to be assigned from time to time by management. Requirements: · BS degree in Accounting. Attention to details & strong work ethics. · Minimum 8 yrs of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 yrs in a supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of Excel & fully-integrated accounting systems. · Hands-on experience in all facets of accounting activities for high-volume/fast-paced manufacturing &/or distribution companies. · Ability to solve problems & communicate effectively at all levels.
